New hotel, designed by Kengo Kuma. Large room, comfortable bedding, large bed, bathtub and shower. Free mini bar. Free happy hour. The waiters speak good English and provide good service. They will help with luggage pick-up and drop-off. There is a beautiful courtyard in the hotel. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The restaurant has large glass areas to let in sunlight. There are buses near the hotel, and there is a 24-hour supermarket opposite, which is quite large. Many foreigners buy food there. There is Okazaki Shrine next to it. It is very close to Philosopher's Path and Nanzenji Temple. There are also restaurants near the hotel, Japanese restaurants. There is also a restaurant that is the first siphon coffee shop in Kyoto, which is worth a visit. The coffee is also delicious.
It was a very good stay. I walked around with the tour guide and deeply experienced the philosophy of light and shadow in the garden. One day of dinner was Japanese Kaiseki and the other day was Aman restaurant, each with its own characteristics. It was a pity that I didn't meet Chef Takagi again for Japanese Kaiseki (I met him in his hometown Zeniya a few years ago). It is a recommended hotel, and it is also one of the Aman hotels with Japanese Kyoto characteristics.

The hotel scenery is really nice, the front desk service is also very good, basically all questions are answered, and the band-aids I asked for by phone were also given, and there is also a free ice machine in the hotel
When we arrived, we found out that this is a couple hotel, not suitable for families! The tools and equipment in this hotel are all on the table, so embarrassing 😅. The room is very large, the bathroom is very spacious, and there is a small steel ball machine in the room. There is no wifi. The facilities are complete but old. The bedding is relatively backward and not comfortable. The sound insulation is okay. Most importantly, the location is not good. It is not close to the bus station and the subway station. You have to drag your suitcase a long way and can only take a taxi. It is far from various attractions and is not suitable for tourists. It is better for local couples to stay in the hotel. The hygiene conditions... I dare not touch them, and I bring my own towels. I am afraid of that (those who understand will understand)
Very satisfied with the stay experience. The room is large and clean. We booked 2 rooms for a family trip. The housekeeper Carina upgraded it to a villa for everyone to stay in. The housekeeper service is very good and considerate. The whole family is also very satisfied with the hotel's travel photography during the Chinese Valentine's Day. We look forward to staying next time.

I don't want to miss the charming autumn colors of Kyoto at this time of year. It's better to do than to say. When I was choosing a hotel this time, I saw the newly opened Kamo Residence by Reflections. I prefer new hotels. In addition, the hotel's location, room size and facilities, and the scenery outside the hotel also fully met my expectations. I made an order without hesitation. I have stayed in many hotels of all sizes in Kyoto before, and I have also experienced the top 3 Park Hyatt, Aman, and Ritz Carlton. To be fair and open, I will choose here again in the future. At this price, a 60-square-meter room is rare in Kyoto, not to mention in Japan. There is also a kitchen with an island counter, dining table and chairs, induction cooker, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, temperature-controlled wine cabinet, kitchen utensils for pots and pans, tableware, and various tea cups, coffee cups, and wine glasses. This supporting facility and the view of the Kamogawa River outside the window crush too many competitors. The owner has considered everything that can be considered and put a lot of thought into it. The drinks in the refrigerator, the coffee, tea and snacks in the room are all free (free). When you check in, you can create a WeChat group, and all kinds of thoughtful tips will be sent to the group, including daily weather, sightseeing recommendations, and dining recommendations. There is no language barrier when living here, both Chinese and English are smooth, eliminating the embarrassment of Japanese. The store asks the day before whether to have Japanese or Western breakfast the next day, agrees on the delivery time, and puts it outside the room door on time. This way, you can eat in the room without disturbing your sleep. The room is in excellent sanitary condition. It will be cleaned after going out during the day, and it will be cleaned at night. There is also a terrace on the roof of the hotel where you can barbecue and party. There are three floors and 6 rooms in total. More than ten family members and friends can come together and directly book the entire hotel. You must find a little flaw in the ointment, that is, the shower in the bathroom is a little inconvenient for the elderly with inconvenient legs and feet. I mentioned this small problem to the store, and the store accepted it happily and planned to improve it. I'd like to let you know that there is already a branch in Hanama-koji, a very nice Japanese-style loft, 5 minutes walk from Kennin-ji Temple, which I like very much. The branch in Yasaka Shrine will be opened in two years. If you ask me where to stay in Kyoto, I will definitely recommend this place.
An old hotel, next to the Rabbit Shrine, and opposite a 24-hour supermarket. I didn't know it at first, so I looked for food everywhere. It's close to Eikan-do Nanzenji Temple, but there's basically nothing to eat after dinner time. The hotel room is larger than average, but the facilities are really old. I booked a smoking room, which didn't suffocate me, but the smoke was too strong... The noise of the air conditioner and the refrigerator when I was sleeping was too loud, and I couldn't sleep. There is a public bath, but there is only one pool, which is good for relaxing. Considering the facilities and location, I probably won't stay here again
The moment I checked in, I was shocked by the simple room, the super small public toilet, the old bathhouse with old facilities, and the slightly musty old house. It was not until I was on the way back from visiting Rurikoin that I realized that I was living in a museum. When I opened the door, I met the smiling and friendly waiter again. The living room was already a picture of a happy United Nations banquet. Travelers from all over the world were eating hot Japanese hot pot at their respective tables, and they were once again infected by this warm, integrated, and family-like atmosphere. It is worth recommending to stay for one night (the sanitary conditions can still be overcome for one night), and the surrounding Sanzen-in Temple is also worth a visit!

GGuest UserThe winter is short and the afternoon is dark. Mr. Yu asked us when we would arrive at the hall very early in the afternoon, warmly received us, made tea together in the stove, and recommended us to see the sunflower sacrifice of the duck shrine. The hotel is built on the first floor of a household. It feels good. You can make a simple meal yourself, eat and drink until the evening, and then go out to Hemaochuan in a quiet nightingale. It feels quiet.
JJulia LuYingA relatively new B&B, a small building with 6-7 rooms on 3 floors, clean and sanitary, meeting basic accommodation requirements. Kamogawa Park is just outside the alley, and there are buses nearby, making it convenient to get to Zhiyuan, Kiyomizu Temple, Sanningzaka Ninenzaka, Kodaiji Temple, and Yasaka Shrine. You can also take a bus to Kinkakuji Temple.
タタビノモリIt's a 6-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station, and there are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, so it's a good location.
There is a kitchen in the shared space on the second floor, which is very convenient for those who want to cook for themselves. There are also free drinks, manga, and books.
The third floor is a dormitory space, and it is air-conditioned and clean, but in the case of mixed-gender accommodation, the upper bunk beds are not completely separated, so there is no privacy, which is a bit tough, especially for women. The lower bunk beds have curtains that can be closed, so I think they're fine...
There are showers and toilets on both the second and third floors. It's good when it's not crowded, but if it's crowded, it may be a hassle to wait in line.
There is a curfew, and you can't go out until 6:00 in the morning, so it may be a bit inconvenient for those who want to go out early in the morning.
LLyric1874Quietly standing in the arms of Bilao Mountain, the Yamano Food Inn has a Kyoto Station pick-up service (about 30 minutes drive) on arrival. The hotel is only 10 minutes drive from Yankee Temple. At 6 o'clock in the morning, the hotel organized a ceremony to the Buddha at Yankee Temple, and there was a shuttle bus to the temple at 9:15. The hotel serves breakfast and dinner. The menu is customized according to seasonal seasons. It is very exquisite. It integrates the food culture of Wuhu and Jinjiang with the French style. You can also taste Shiga local wine. The most intimate service on the departure day is to transport luggage to Kyoto Station for free, so that visitors can easily visit Bibu Mountain and Wuhu.
GGuest UserBecause of the itinerary adjustment, there is no stay. But because there is no refund plan, even if it was confirmed that it could not be checked in two weeks ago, it could only be empty. This is something I knew before I booked, so I readily accepted it, but I really feel that it is a pity for me, potential tenants and landlords. If there is a partial refund plan that is decreasing according to time, it may be the most ideal.
YYS adventure timeThis is a love hotel. It has all the necessities, bed, bath and toilet. Unfortunately the hotel has a very dated feel, lighting ,carpet and wall show its age.
Love hotel rooms are big , and this is no exception. Also big :)
Not the most exciting or modern love hotel I have been to. For cheap and last minute accommodations it's no problem for seasoned travelers. There is no issue with cleanliness, bed sheets, wash and toilet area are clean.
You may need to deal with cigarette odour, there is some spray provided, but it's not very effective.
Keep your expectations in check, again it's a love hotel. Let's hope they will do a refresh or revamp.
