I have consistently chosen to stay at Cititel during my business trips to Kota Kinabalu. However, this recent stay was quite disappointing.
Firstly, the light from the corridor seeped through a significant gap beneath the room door, making it difficult to sleep. Secondly, I was assigned a room with visible ceiling piping. As a result, I could hear water running loudly whenever the guest above used the bathroom — even at 2 to 3 a.m. Thirdly, the soundproofing on Level 5 is notably poor. During my stay, other guests were conversing loudly with their room doors wide open, adding to the disturbance. Lastly, the electricity in my room tripped twice. Although the hotel staff responded promptly, it disrupted my rest before an important meeting session. I hope the hotel management will take steps to address these issues, as I have previously enjoyed my stays here.

The service counter is very good and friendly. The hotel room is quite comfortable but sometimes we hear the noise from the room next door. This needs to be improved... The breakfast time is quite limited and the food is acceptable.
