"Booked the hotel for 2 nights, but was given a bigger room for the first night with 3 extra queen size beds. Could be a good/bad thing if you are a solo traveller.. nonetheless very good location and also near to the train station and the night market! Value for the money :)"

Thank you to the Japanese and ********* beauty who works the morning service at the front desk for your great help! Guidance on how to get to and from Alishan and take the bus! Shoufu is the right place for me! The location is clearly next to Liuhe Night Market, about a 5-minute walk! It is also next to the MRT subway (at Exit 11 of Formosa Island) The location is very good. The room is tidy and very good. The breakfast is rich!"

"Located by the harbour, parking is convenient. The bathrooms in the public areas of the hotel are very good, with Japanese-style heated toilet seats that are clean and comfortable. Another plus point is the washing and drying facilities, which is very convenient and thoughtful. The final highlight is the coffee and tea area that provides comfortable seats and snacks, which is very thoughtful."

"It’s a very old building. It looked clean but there was smoke smell in my room. The pillows and blankets were really old as well. They had lumps and the color is old dirty white . I also got bug bites. The staff were nice, though. The breakfast was not great but tolerable.They really need to renovate that building."

"Breakfast was delicious, sleep was good at night, not noisy, very satisfied, will stay there next time, forgot to mention, we stayed in a four-person room, very clean, the only drawback is that at 7 or 8 pm, there were almost no options for the 24-hour afternoon tea in the fruit building, only two or three options were left, this improvement would be better, it's about 10 minutes from Liuhe Night Market, the location is very good"

"First I wanted to book the double room but it was sold out. but the single room has everything I need. The hotel is well located near the night market and the mrt station. the staff speaks good English and very attentive. They have a their own designed map where you can find local things to see and eat around. I had a really good rest as the bed is comfortable. I would stay here again once I come back in Kaohsiung! I hope they will open branch in other parts of Taiwan, because I went to their Pier branch first by mistake and the vibe is the same! Would highly recommend this hotel"

"The room is big and the location is very good The bed was great and the water pressure was great Hygiene is no problem The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, and turning up the air conditioner didn't help. I stayed for only three nights and the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke on two days. My friend lives on the 5th floor and there is no cigarette smell. I live on the 3rd floor. Let me give you a reference."

"The location of the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is better than the location of the Grand Hotel Taipei. Also, the view from the guest room at this hotel was better than the one that my parents got when staying at the Grand Hotel Taipei. The view at the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung faces the front of the hotel with trees and the water fountain. The view at the Grand Hotel Taipei was the parking lot. The subway is a bit far from the hotel. The room was quite big and the price was fine. Also, the room was clean and tidy."
